Dental Clinic Management Software for Indian Dentists
One system for appointments, records, charting, treatment plans and billing.
jDent is cloud-based dental practice management software used by clinics that want the clinical and financial side of the practice in one place, without a server in the back room. India has roughly 65,000 dental clinics and more than nine in ten are single-owner practices. That is exactly the size of clinic jDent is built for.

jDent is cloud-based dental clinic management software available to clinics in India. It covers patient records, appointment scheduling, an interactive 32-tooth odontogram, clinical examinations, treatment plans, prescriptions, invoicing with part payments, doctor commission and revenue sharing, inventory and multi-branch clinics. It runs in a browser plus Android and iOS apps, and the clinic profile sets its own currency so Indian clinics can bill in INR. It does not process UPI, does not integrate with ABDM, and has no GST tax module. The first month is free with no credit card.
The problem is rarely the dentistry
Most clinics that go looking for software are not struggling clinically. They are struggling with the paperwork around the clinical work: a register that only the receptionist can read, treatment plans agreed verbally and remembered differently by patient and dentist, invoices written in a separate book, and no reliable answer to what the clinic actually earned last month.
The cost of that is not dramatic on any single day. It shows up as a patient who disputes a quote, an associate who disagrees with their share, stock that runs out mid-procedure, and a follow-up that never happened because nobody wrote it down.
What jDent actually covers
The point of a single system is that the record follows the patient. An examination finding becomes a treatment plan, the plan becomes completed procedures, the procedures become an invoice, and the invoice becomes the doctor payout. Nothing is retyped, and each step can be traced back to the one before it.
- Patients: full profile with MRN, medical history, allergies and alerts, plus a single timeline that merges registration, appointments, examinations, treatment plans, procedures, prescriptions, invoices, payments and uploaded files.
- Appointments: a drag-and-drop scheduler by doctor and time slot, with a live queue and one-tap WhatsApp reminders your front desk sends from the appointment row.
- Charting: an interactive 32-tooth odontogram where each tooth carries findings such as caries, filling, RCT, crown, extraction, implant or missing.
- Treatment plans: built from examination findings, priced per procedure, tracked from started to finished, with notes attached to the plan and to each individual procedure.
- Billing: itemised invoices with quantity, price and discount per line, part payments, outstanding balances, and printing on your own letterhead.
- Revenue and share: associate commission calculated per invoice line, with the arithmetic shown rather than summarised.
- Also included: prescriptions, inventory with low-stock alerts, cash-basis clinic accounting, staff roles with per-module permissions, multi-branch support, and Android and iOS apps on the same data.
Built for the clinic size India actually has
India has around 65,000 dental clinics and roughly 93 per cent of them are single-owner practices. Software written for large groups tends to arrive with implementation projects, per-seat licensing and features a solo dentist will never open.
jDent is the other shape. One dentist with a receptionist can run the whole thing, every plan includes every feature rather than gating them by tier, and most clinics are working in it the same day rather than waiting on an onboarding schedule. If the practice grows to several chairs or a second location, the same account handles it: staff get individual logins with per-module permissions, and reporting rolls up across branches.
What jDent does not do in India
You will find this faster by reading it here than by discovering it after you switch. These are real gaps, not features that are "coming soon":
- No UPI or payment gateway. jDent records how the patient paid; it does not collect the money. If you need UPI collection inside the software, jDent is not the right choice today.
- No ABDM or ABHA integration. If your clinic relies on government schemes, TPA panels or NABH accreditation that require ABDM, jDent will not satisfy that.
- No GST tax module. Most dental treatment in India is GST-exempt under SAC 9993, but cosmetic procedures and goods are not, and jDent will not calculate that for you.
- Data is not hosted in India. It sits on dedicated servers operated by jDent. If you have a data-residency requirement, this matters.
- Support is from Pakistan, in English. Over WhatsApp and email. There is no India-based team and no regional language support.
For a private, cash-paying clinic that is not on a government or insurance panel, none of the above is usually a blocker. For a clinic that depends on panel work, several of them are. We would rather you knew which one you are before you spend a month migrating.
Billing in Indian Rupees
Currency is part of your clinic profile, so invoices, payments, reports and doctor payouts all use the currency you set. Every plan carries the complete feature set with no setup fee and no per-feature upsell, and the first month is free with no credit card. See jDent pricing for Indian clinics for the INR figures, or get in touch for a quote for your clinic size.
Where to go next
If you are opening a practice rather than replacing a system, start with what it costs to set up a dental clinic in India. If you are a single-chair practice, see jDent for solo dentists. If charting is the reason you are looking, see the odontogram and charting tools. And if you want to know how the invoice side interacts with Indian tax rules, read GST on dental treatment in India.
